Shihong Yang

Summary

I am a Ph.D. student in Animal Sciences focusing on precision livestock farming by applying artificial intelligence to animal data analysis. My work explores how imaging, sensor data, and behavioral patterns can be used to detect early signs of disease and stress in livestock. I am especially interested in developing real-time tools for on-farm monitoring that can enhance animal welfare and production efficiency. Outside of research, I'm pretty good at drawing, and it just so happens that it comes in handy for scientific illustration too. I also enjoy walking and discovering new places, whether it's out in nature or through a city, and I always welcome good company.
